About Us:

Harley and I have been involved in dogs, training and the sport of Schutzhund together since 1993.  Prior to that, Harley spent many years involved in Schutzhund and Rottweilers in California's central valley.  We have extensive experience training most working breeds, and have owned and trained not only German Shepherd Dogs and Rottweilers, but Giant Schnauzers, Black Russian Terriers and Dobermann Pinschers.  Our kennel is named for Harley's last Rottweiler "Hedda", who was the epitome of the balanced working dog- strong in the work, and yet completely trustworthy with the family.  She helped raise our boys until we lost her in early 2000.

In 2000, we imported our foundation bitch "Ria von Arlett" from Germany and with that "A" litter "von Fenja" we concentrated our efforts exclusively on the German Shepherd breed.  Ria was a large, red sable showline female who gave us an excellent litter sired by the world famous VA- Ulk von Arlett SchH3.

Our "A" litter was very uniform and talented, the most notable member of which was our beloved "Arras."  Arras was talented in any sort of work you put him to, be it Schutzhund, herding, babysitting, and training new helpers.  He was a very hard dog that would not back from a fight, and yet was completely trustworthy and stable- exactly what we strive for.  We lost him in a very untimely fashion in late 2008.

Two females were retained from the "A" litter which figure heavily in our lines today, most notably the red sable female "Arianna".  "Arri" was a very hard female, loved the bite work, and was not for the faint of heart!  We see her attitude being cared down from Ria's mother and grandmother through to Arri's daughters and granddaughters.  The females in the line definitely have some fire!  Arri's line is continued through her daughters Jette and Janke (also a red sable).  We also kept back a lovely black and red female "Aila".

Today we continue to strive to produce beautiful dogs with excellent character and temperament for ourselves and others who desire to own the "total" German Shepherd Dog- a dog well suited for all work, the best of family companions and protectors, and easy on the eyes, too!  Our breeding program is moving forward with the addition of German imports "Nero Blumenkamp", " Xensi Arlett", and our Czech bred showline "Ghandi Irluka".  Stay Tuned!
